The Organisation has adopted Six Sigma as its core management framework as it:
» Is the best of the frameworks for designing new processes and making breakthrough improvements to existing processes.
» Ensures robustness of processes and reduces variation, cycle time and defects.
» Helps in innovating, predicting and consistently delivering what the customer (beneficiary) expects
An innovative combination of DMADV and DMAIC methodologies are being used to deploy Six Sigma at the Organisation
» DMADV : Define, Measure, Analyze, Design and Validate is applied for the designing of new processes or reengineering existing ones.
» DMAIC : Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control is used for continuous process improvement.
Six Sigma focuses on customer (beneficiary) centricity, process orientation, metrics and continuous improvement. The large volume of the Organisation's operations lends itself to the Six Sigma way of working. The challenge at all times however, is to keep it simple and demystified so that ultimately the rural communities may themselves be able to use these modern and useful techniques.
